Total Number of posts for candidates are 572 .
1.GD Constable: 450 posts
2. Constable Drivers: 85 posts
3. Constable (Technical): 30 posts
4. Follower: 7 posts
- Pay Scale :
1. For Follower post : Rs. 5200 – 20200 + grade pay of Rs.2200/-.
2. For Other posts : Rs. 5200 – 20200 + grade pay of Rs.2400 /-.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Age limit :
Candidate age is necessary between for the following posts:
1. For GD Constable & Constable (Technical) : Age should be between 18 years to 22 years.
2. For Constable Driver : Between 20 years to 25 years as on 01/03/2014.
- Educational Qualification :
Candidates must possess following education for the given vacancies:
1. For GD Constable : Minimum class X passed from recognized
Board for open candidates and class VIII passed from recognized Board for HG candidates who were enrolled before 4.9.2012 and class X who were enrolled after 4.9.2012.
2. For Constable Driver : Minimum class VI passed.
3. For Constables/Technical : Minimum class XII passed in PCM.
- Selection Process :
Selection will be made on the basis of five steps.
1. First step is Physical Measurement.2. Second step is Physical Efficiency test.
3. Third step is Written examination.
4. Forth step is Skill test (for drivers and followers).
5. Final step is Viva-voce.
- Application Fee :
1. Candidates would be required to pay Rs.70/- as Bank receipt (SBS) under revenue head 0055-Police-800
2. Further, obtain application form from the office of the Commandant/ 3rd IRBn, PHQ, Gangtok and the office of District SSP (North/ South/ West) on or before 20-03-2014 on all working days.
- How to Apply :
1. Interested Candidates can obtained the Application form the office of the Commandant/3rd IRBn, PHQ, Gangtok and the office of District SsP (North/South/West).
2. After that, they have to fill the form and along with required documents send it on the address from where the form obtained.

At Mangan (Namphrikdang Ground, Upper Dzongu): 02-04-2014 from 8:00 AM.
At Pipelay (IRB Camp): 04 & 05-04-2014 from 8:00 AM daily.
At Gangtok (Khel Gaon, Reshithang): 09 to 11 from 8:00 AM daily.
