Desirable Qualification :-

Job Responsibilities :-
NCBS carries out cutting edge research across a spectrum of topics in the biological sciences ranging from studies of single molecules to ecosystems. We are looking for a Science communication and Outreach Officer to showcase the science carried out on our campus. The successful candidate will be expected to assist with the following activities: a) Showcase ongoing research through writing and editing articles or short summaries for diverse audiences b) Managing content on the NCBS news website, and monitoring impact c) Monitoring feedback and incorporating improvements in existing programmes d) Assist with preparing Institutional reports and presentations e) Produce Interviews of internal and external scientists showcasing them and their science. f) Working with freelancers for writing, illustration or produce other media.
General Instruction :-
1. The appointment to the above posts shall be made on a contract basis initially for a period of six (6) months from the date of joining. The tenure may be extended further up to One (1) year depending upon the performance & requirement.
2. The selected candidate shall be required to join immediately. The institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for the recruitment process to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualification and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Mere fulfilling the essential and desirable qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called for consideration for recruitment.
3. The Selection process shall involve two-stage i.e., a Preliminary Interview and the Main Interview. The Main Interview shall be conducted only for those candidates who are shortlisted based on their performance in the Preliminary Interview. Any change in the recruitment process will be intimated to the candidates in advance. The institute reserves the right not to fill the above posts herein advertised in case suitable candidates are not found. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidate.
4. Prescribed age should not exceed as of 1st January 2023 for the above post.
5.
