Qualification in Details:
1 .Essential Qualification (EQ): M.Sc. with minimum 60% marks and four years’ research experience or Ph.D. in Life Sciences (Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Botany/ Forestry/ Environmental Science/Geography/ Geoinformatics) from recognized university
2 .Desirable Qualification (DQ): Sound knowledge on Indian birds and demonstrated experience/expertise in ornithology, statistical computations and advanced analysis in R
3. Work description: The project will assess the distribution and abundance status and population trends of all bird species that regularly occur in India (excluding extremely rare and vagrant species), by synthesizing publicly available data from eBird-India and other readily available databases (ed Asian Waterbird Census), and compiling case studies of examples of surveys and monitoring of species and locations. The Project Scientist will be collating and analyzing bird record data from online sources and prepare the report under the guidance of the project investigators.
