Other Qualification Details:
1. For General Disciplines: A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the said Act); and (ii) a post graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of Medicine) or MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject/allied discipline. (iii) For Dentistry: A Post Graduate qualification viz. Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject/allied discipline.
2. Non – Medical’ Candidates : A Postgraduate qualification i.e. Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline and A Doctorate degree from d recognized University in the respective subject or allied discipline. Note: The respective subject or allied discipline should be as in the Table — I of schedule I of the Medical Council Of India “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998.”
3. For the candidates processing Doctor of Medicine (MO)/ Masters Of Surgery (MS) from Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges; Three years teaching experience in the subject as Resident or Registrar or Demonstrator or Tutor in a recognized medical college either during the post graduate course or after obtaining postgraduate degree in the subject. (b) For the candidates possessing Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification from Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges or central institutes where the number of doctor of medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS) course running; (i) Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized medical college either during the Diplomat of National Board (DNB) course or after possessing the diplomat of national board (DNB) Qualification:
